As one can imagine, losing a loved one is of the most painful, confusing, and scary moments in life. I recently lost my husband and the love of my life, Josh, to brain cancer in late March. Although I knew he loved me and he knew I loved him, I had so many questions left unanswered. The emotional roller coaster of cancer left things unsaid, afraid to ask, and afraid to answer. Questions such as: Are you in pain? Are you happy where you are, where-ever you are? How are you feeling? Are you still with me? What am I suppose to do now without you? Why did you leave me? What’s my purpose now? Will I see and be with you again?
I spent almost two hours talking and crying with Stephanie. Stephanie said things about my husband’s passing and his current state that gave me comfort and hope. She helped restore my faith and reminded me life is still good and that I still have so much to offer to this world. And that I am still here to help make a difference in someone’s life. Stephanie helped answer questions I had for Josh and delivered messages he wanted me to know. She recited private things that happened between Josh and I to remind me of our love for each other and that he’s still with me–just not physically. Stephanie describe events that happened after Josh’s passing and what he thought of them. For example: how Josh enjoyed the party we had in his honor after the funeral. She revealed/gave clues on my future endeavors and provided great support. She told me what Josh’s thoughts were of my plans and how he offered encouragement and support.
I can’t thank Stephanie enough for her time and the comfort she provided. Our conversations helped me with closure but also reminded me my connection with Josh and our love for each other will always be there; the connection that has evolved to another different, powerful level. Love doesn’t have an ending….even though we’re (temporarily) on two different worlds. — Diana
