Why Hire a Feng Shui Designer?
Our homes are a constant source of information, everything whispering a message. Our home or office — from it’s floorplan, flow, objects, organization and aesthetics — tells us a story, either moving us forward or holding us back. It is feng shui’s goal to ensure that your environment speaks only to forward-moving energy and inspiration, therefore helping inspire dramatic changes and generate positive results throughout your entire life.
Because of the beliefs that we hold in any given moment, we make design choices that unknowingly keep us feeling stuck. We make decisions from where we are right now, instead of where we long to be. Even when we dramatically redesign our own space, these choices still stem from our current limited thinking, and we innocently perpetuate our current limitations, creating an energetic stand-still and resulting frustration. Since it can be extremely challenging to see our own blocks and patterns clearly, hiring a consultant can be a wonderful decision.
It is my belief that it is impossible to implement true feng shui on your own space. We are far too close to the details of our lives to have a clear, impartial, God’s-eye perspective and wisdom. Hiring a talented consultant can provide this clear perspective. (I believe this so strongly that I have my trusted teacher design my own home and office!)

Personal Consultations are by far the most powerful way to transform your life through Stephanie’s

Stephanie creates personal consultations based on your budget, home size, extent of project, and individual challenges.
The average initial consultation lasts about 4-5+ hours on-site. Many times I will suggest a second meeting to determine colors, or to help with more extensive redesign projects.
Here’s what is covered for most people in the first 1-2 meetings (there are exceptions to this depending on your main interest, budget, time-frame and current state of your home):
• Evaluation of your home’s layout
• A map of your home with specific correlating life areas clearly noted (bagua map)
• Evaluation of your home’s entrance
• A review of your home’s architectural structure and challenges
• An analysis of your entire home, room by room
• Color recommendations for specific areas of the house
• Landscaping overview and critique
• Specific homework to help you best achieve your goals
• A 30-minute follow-up call 1 month later to answer questions and keep you on track!
* PLEASE NOTE: For those of you who are looking for more extensive renovations or dramatic redesigns, these sorts of results are time-intensive and would not fit into the format listed above. What IS Feng Shui exactly?
Feng Shui originated in China, yet it is not Chinese in nature. is about energy, which is in everything on the planet — from Texas to Paris, and from Japan to Africa. Feng Shui takes a look at the powerful relationship we have with our environment, and helps us to artfully arrange these spaces so we feel as good as we possibly can. When we feel better and begin to think more optimistically about our hopes & dreams, we can draw these opportunities powerfully into our lives.
Why is Feng Shui so important?
In this day and age, full of cell phones, pagers, blackberries, laptops, wireless internet, emails and GPS systems, we are bombarded with stimulus. Our world is transforming rapidly, and our lives are becoming more and more complex. Of all the times throughout history, we are in need of environments that heal. To maintain the pace, activity and responsibility we all are carrying, it is VITAL that our homes become a source of rest, rejuvenation, inspiration and health.
What if I’m a Feng Shui Skeptic?
Don’t worry. I was a skeptic once too if you can believe it. I come from math teachers and farmers back in Indiana, so I make sure to always staying practical and down-to-earth. From high-powered stockbrokers, lawyers, and multi-millionaires to stay-at-home-moms, retired persons, 9-to-5′ers and everyone in between — my approach speaks to every ethnicity, culture, age group, and religious orientation. All people have the same desires at their core—a wish to feel better & more fulfilled.
How is Stephanie’s Feng Shui Approach Different?
My approach is quite unique — it is truly feng shui for the modern, western person. My practice is not about rules, red envelopes, or compasses — but rather going back to the origins of “true” feng shui — energy itself. The process is personal, practical, powerful and a whole lot of FUN! I help you create beautiful spaces that shifts your internal energy and thinking, turning you into a walking magnet for the life you want.
My goal is to listen for what my clients are wanting, and help them design a home or office that represents the fulfillment of those dreams. When we surround ourselves in environments that speak to who we want to become 5 years down the line, we feel more confidence, abundance, energy, compassion, creativity, focus, strength and hope.
However much I have deep reverence for the Chinese culture where feng shui began, I don’t use any chinese influences in my work. Instead of using traditional chinese cures, I work with intuition, design, movement and color to bring about the same energetic results. I enjoy digging under the surface or common “cures” to find the original intentions beneath. The results are modern, beautiful, personalized and deeply transformational.
How Can Feng Shui Change MY Life?
The reason why I got interested in feng shui is solely to due to the results I achieved. My love relationships, confidence, career path, health & reputation all radically transformed.

Should I Get a Consultation or Just read Feng Shui Books?
While books are fantastic, you can NEVER do “true” feng shui from any book. Books, because of their nature, have to boil information down into rules and structure. Yet each of our homes & life challenges are unique and require very different solutions. So, while books can be full of helpful guidelines, they can never take the place of a highly-trained intuitive practitioner who makes powerful and personalized suggestions based solely on your unique goals and dreams.
Also, I have a very strong belief that you can’t do your own feng shui. It’s like doing your own therapy — you simply can’t see your own blocks clearly. I believe this so much that I haven’t done my OWN feng shui work for many years now! When we design our own spaces, we unconsciously arrange things that reflect all of our limitations, self-doubts and insecurities. Our homes are a direct reflection of our minds. Letting a trained professional who can intuitively listen to what your heart longs for, and then creating a beautiful space from this perspective in mind is the only way I know to get the outstanding results you desire.
